Welcome to the Climate Change Forum - Ethiopia

In Ethiopia, issues of climate change are fast becoming challenges of development policy and practice, yet weak information flow, re-search and coordination stalled the issues from becoming national priority.

In 2008, policy makers and stakeholders ac-knowledged the lack of information and poor coordination as part of the climate change challenges and agreed on the need to estab-lish a national collaborative forum to commu-nicate and coordinate policy dialogue, facilitate information flow and initiate public campaign and capacity building in the country. Out of this understanding, Climate Change Forum-Ethiopia has been established and registered as a resident NGO to complement efforts and support policy and practice.
